PRESCOTT VALLEY — The Northern Arizona Suns and the newly named Findlay Toyota Center, will play host to a Bradshaw Mountain, Prescott High School varsity basketball double-header on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2019.
The Bears and Badgers girls varsity basketball teams will meet at noon, followed by the boys game which will take place at 2 p.m. The NAZ Suns will also be in action that evening at 7 p.m., when they host the Delaware Blue Coats.
“We are very excited to be playing there, especially against our rival,” Bradshaw Mountain girls coach Rick Haltom said. “Not too often do the girls get to play on a professional court. I think it’s a great idea and goods for the community. Hope to have a big crowd.”
The NAZ Suns are hosting these games as “a continued community outreach effort to grow the sport of basketball in Yavapai County” the Suns said in a press release Friday.
On Saturday, Feb. 2, the doors will open for fans at 11 a.m. for general admission seating, with tickets selling for $3 to students and $5 to adults. The boys varsity game will also be broadcasted live on KKLD.
