The US Postal Service motto - in part, "Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds" - apparently has its limits.

The Postal Service today, Feb. 21, will not be delivering mail in a number of areas of northern Arizona, according to an email from its business office, because of the current snow storm.

"I wanted to make you aware that the following offices will be unable to deliver today, Thursday, 2/21/2019, due to extreme weather conditions in Arizona," the email states.

The list of cities/areas is as follows: Chino Valley, Heber, Kirkland, Prescott Valley, Prescott, Mayer, Sedona (Main), Dewey, Williams, Cottonwood, and Kingman. Lake Havasu and Bullhead City are making partial deliveries.

The snow is forecast to continue well into Friday, the National Weather Service has said. Word of Friday Post Office deliveries is unknown.
