DEWEY-HUMBOLDT - Authorities reported a five-vehicle accident Thursday night, Sept. 27, on westbound Highway 69 where it intersects with Kachina Place.
Personnel with the Central Arizona Fire and Medical Authority (CAFMA) stated on their Facebook page that the crash involved a "police situation." Since the incident occurred on county land, the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office (YCSO) is working on releasing further information on what occurred.
A total of five people were treated for injuries on the scene, with two of them being transported by ambulance to the Yavapai Regional Medical Center in Prescott Valley with non-life threatening injuries, CAFMA reported.
The response included two engines, one battalion chief, two Life Line ambulances, and local law enforcement agencies including the Prescott Valley Police Department, Arizona Department of Public Safety and YCSO.
Traffic was backed up for several hours as law enforcement conducted an investigation.
