Donald A. Schandelmeier, 90, passed away Aug. 31, 2018, at the VA Hospital in Prescott, Arizona. He was born Nov. 10, 1927, in Michigan. He grew up in Tyrone, Pennsylvania, and married Shirley M. (Riggleman), who passed away in 2004.
He was a veteran of WWII and the Korean War, serving as a master sergeant in the Army. He then worked many years for Huntington Brake Service. They resided in Long Island, New York, and Butler, Pennsylvania, before retiring to Arizona for 35 years.
Surviving are his daughter, Brenda Prevo, and son-in-law, Dennis; grandchildren, Ashley, Sam and Chris and spouse, Nichole; great-grandchildren Brylie, Lyla and Luke. He is survived by his brother, Mel, and his wife, Donna Schandelmeier; as well as many loved nieces and nephews.
He is loved and missed.
The family requests that no flowers or contributions be sent. Interment will be at Prescott National Cemetery.
