On Sunday, Nov. 18, 2018, The Daily Courier published a front page solely dedicated to an editorial calling the community to take action by reporting local fentanyl dealers to Yavapai Silent Witness and encouraging local businesses and organizations to join us by donating to the Silent Witness reward fund.

The Courier announced that it was donating $10,000 to Silent Witness earmarked to help take these dealers and their deadly, disguised drugs off our streets and out of our children’s hands. Silent Witness will be parceling all donated reward money in amounts they feel will be most effective.

We want to thank the businesses, individuals and organizations that are joining the Courier in this effort.

Young people in our community have overdosed and died because of these fentanyl-laced pills and other street drugs being pushed by some 50 local dealers in the quad-city area, according to Partners Against Narcotics Trafficking (PANT).

If you, your business or organization wants to join the Courier in this effort to boost local rewards and get fentanyl dealers off our streets, Silent Witness asks that you follow the Courier’s lead and donate the money directly to Yavapai Silent Witness. Please do not collect funds independently for a bulk donation as this can cause consumer skepticism and disallow a tax deduction.

To donate, contact Yavapai Silent Witness at this office number, 928-777-7266, or send your donation to Yavapai Silent Witness, P.O. Box 2524, Prescott, AZ 86302.
