Obituary: Gary B. Collins

Gary B. Collins was born in Fullerton, California, on June 9, 1938. He lived in various places growing up, moving often because his dad was employed by the railroad. Gary’s favorite place to live as a kid was the Grand Canyon.

He served in the Army Engineers from 1961 to 1963. He married Glenna in 1963, and upon discharge moved to Prescott, Arizona, where they resided for 42 years.He became a registered land surveyor in both Missouri and Arizona.

Yavapai County is where he did most of his surveying work, where he was known for being a perfectionist.

Gary and Glenna moved back to Missouri in 2011, where Gary enjoyed the woods, green grass and animals.

He finished his race well and went Home to be with his Lord and Savior on Oct. 20, 2018. Gary was buried at Fort Scott National Cemetery on Oct. 23, 2018.
