Billy Don ‘Elvis’ Gains

Billy Don “Elvis” Gains, 60, left us to be with the Lord on Oct. 28, 2018, with his family beside him.

He was born in Wiesbaden, Germany, on Sept. 1, 1958, was a resident of Tucson, Arizona, for over 40 years and a resident of Prescott for the last 16 years. Recently, he lived in a Reeves Foundation Medical Group Home in Prescott Valley.

Over the years, Bill worked at Yavapai Exceptional Industries, was a guest teacher at Mile High Middle School, and attended Hozhoni and Ability Day programs.

Bill liked animals, to hang out with family, to eat out, to travel, to bowl, and to sit outside.

He was an avid music fan and collected Elvis Presley memorabilia. He loved to socialize with people and had many “girlfriends” in town. Bill made everyone feel special and had an awesome sense of humor.

Bill will be lovingly missed by his sister and brother-in-law, Robin and Andy Andre, of Prescott; his niece, Michelle Andre, of Phoenix; and his nephew, Corey (Rachel) Andre of Prescott Valley. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Dale and Peggy Braun.

A memorial service celebrating Bill’s life will be held on Saturday, Dec. 1, at 10 a.m., at Prescott Christian Church, 501 S. Senator Highway. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Yavapai Humane Society.
