Texas restaurant offers $100 an hour for puppy-petting job

'PUPTERN' WANTED IN TEXAS

A restaurant and dog park in Texas is looking for an intern with puppy-petting skills.

Mutts Canine Cantina in Dallas is opening a second location in Fort Worth and the company is willing to pay $100 per hour for a position they call a "Puptern."

"Do you have what it takes to be the first-ever MUTTS Puptern at our brand new location in Fort Worth?," the company asked on its Instagram page.

Puptern candidates can apply by posting a photo or video on social media that shows their unique puppy-petting skills. Photos and videos must use #MUTTSpuptern and be tagged @muttscantina for a chance to be hired.

According to the post, the selected puptern will get paid $100 per hour to pet puppies at the new Fort Worth location.

Applications for the high-paying puppy-petting job are being accepted through Nov. 12.

"Creativity is encouraged," the company said. "Tell us why you're the best fit for the position in your caption!"
