Nonprofit Building Homes for Heroes donates home to family

Natasha De Alencar, widow of U.S. Army Special Forces Sgt. Mark De Alencar, hugs Andy Pujol, founder of the nonprofit Building Homes for Heroes, during a ceremony Wednesday, June 13, 2018 in Navarre, Florida, in which De Alencar and her family received a new home from the group. It was the 140th home that Building Homes for Heroes has built or modified for veterans and the first home the nonprofit has given to a Gold Star family. De Alencar’s husband died April 8, 2017, while serving in Afghanistan.
