After losing a third of the property to foreclosure, the owner of Circle L Ranch announced on Jan. 7, without warning or notice, the Ranch would no longer be a rescue for dogs, and she dismissed two of the three long time employees. Supposedly, the remaining dogs will be termed sanctuary and kept until they pass away or someone wishes to adopt these wonderful animals. As a volunteer who has spent three mornings a week for five years with these dogs, I am very sad and terribly concerned for their welfare since the Ranch’s future (and therefore the dogs’ lives) seems so uncertain. Some dogs are elderly, have health or behavior issues. They are still wonderful, loving creatures that would do well in the right home. This is a plea to all dog lovers. Please go to circlel.org, adoptable dogs, or call 928-273-7005 to visit and adopt your new best friend.
