Letter: Didn’t go far enough

The article on safety did not go far enough. Two important things were left out.

Common sense and courtesy. Both go a long way in preventing accidents.

Be sensible, don’t walk behind a car that is backing out. All cars have blind spots, and don’t leave your child loose in the parking lot while you unload your cart.

Be courteous while driving. If someone is backing out stop and let them, don’t speed around them.

Use your turn signal to let other drivers know what you’re going to do, and besides it’s the law.

Pull over for emergency vehicles.
