A cyclist in the Netherlands came dangerously close to death last week when trying to cross two sets of railroad tracks in broad daylight.
Railroad officials posted the video as a way to highlight the need for guarded crossings.
In the video posted on YouTube by Dutch railway agency ProRail, the cyclist can be seen crossing road barriers in Geleen and then waits for a train to pass on the first set of tracks.
The rider then proceeds to cross but apparently did not see the train coming from the opposite direction on the second set of tracks.
The cyclist then becomes aware and kicks to speed up, just barely getting clear of the train.
