The Mayoral-Council Candidate forum for Dewey-Humboldt residents takes place from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, at the Cherry Creek Ranch Event Center, Highway 169 and Foothill Drive.
Come early at 5:30 p.m. to meet and talk with the candidates.
The event is sponsored by Yavapai County Supervisor Tom Thurman, and presented by the League of Women Voters of Central Yavapai, which is a nonpartisan organization that neither supports nor opposes political parties or candidates.
The forum will include the two mayoral candidates, incumbent Terry Nolan and challenger Victoria Wendt, who currently serves on the council.
Those running for three seats on the council are incumbents Mark McBrady and Doug Treadway, and challengers Nancy Wright (former council member), Karen Brooks and Lynn Collins.
