Phoenix Symphony begins new season in Prescott

The Yavapai Symphony Association is presenting the first Phoenix Symphony concert of Prescott’s 2017-2018 season.

Directed by Musical Director Tito Munoz, who is joined by soloists Alexander Laing on clarinet and Phillippe Quint on violin, the orchestra will be performing Tchaikovsky’s “Violin Concerto,” Leonard Bernstein’s “Prelude, Fugue and Riffs” and Stravinsky’s “The Rite of Spring.”

The concert begins at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 17, with a pre-concert lecture at 2 p.m. at the Yavapai College Performing Arts Center, 1100 E. Sheldon St. Tickets range from $29 to $42 and can be purchased by calling 928-776-4255 or at the Yavapai Symphony Association’s office at 228 N. Alarcon St. on Friday.

Full-time college students can purchase any available ticket for $10.
