Highway 89 widening to continue

In preparation for road widening, crews will continue performing earthwork and extending the existing culverts throughout the week. Work will occur along Highway 89 between the Highway 89A/Pioneer Parkway interchange and Granite Dells.

Please be aware of impacts through Saturday, Sept. 16, 7 a.m. - 7 p.m.

One lane of traffic will remain open in both directions at all times, however, motorists are asked to please be aware of lane restrictions, reduced speeds, flaggers onsite, and heavy equipment accessing the work zone.

Constellation Trailhead access

Parking and access for the Constellation Trailhead remains unchanged at this time. Trail users are asked to respect the work zone and take precaution when hiking near construction personnel and equipment.

Water line installation continues

Installation of new water line will continue throughout the week. Work will occur along South Marina Street from East Goodwin Street to East Gurley Street.

Please be aware of impacts through Thursday, Sept. 14, 7 a.m. - 6 p.m.

South Marina Street is closed to through traffic from East Goodwin Street to East Gurley Street, however, personnel will accommodate access for local businesses and residents. Please remain alert for flaggers and allow for extra time to get through this area.

Concrete removals ongoing

Starting Monday morning, crews began to remove and replace concrete sidewalks and curb and gutter along South Marina from East Goodwin to Union. Work continues through today, Sept. 14.

South Marina Street is closed to through traffic from East Goodwin Street to East Gurley Street, however, personnel will accommodate access for local businesses and residents. Remain alert for temporary sidewalk closures while work is underway.

Street parking and access

To minimize conflicts with construction equipment, and expedite completion of the project, on-street parking will be limited from time to time within the construction zone during regular work hours. “No Parking” signage will be posted at least 24 hours prior to any formal parking restrictions. The City appreciates your cooperation to avoid on-street parking in the construction zone throughout the duration of the project.
