Acorn Montessori football team takes first in ISSA league

The Acorn Montessori flag football team recently completed their season undefeated and qualified for the playoffs where they secured first place in the ISSA league.

“Every student athlete worked hard on and off the field each and every week,” Acorn head coach Matt Rice said.

The Mighy Oaks play their regular season games within the ISSA league, which is made up of several schools in the Tri-City area.

Players on this year’s club include Hayden Fiske, Marcos Gutierrez, Sean Hughes, Hunter Beaudette, Peter Cordova, Javi Calderon, Justin Headley, Brhaedan Austin, Joel Dean, Boden Gosney, Xander Mosher, Gabe Zeller, Luke Martinez, Hayden Rice, Chuy Sotelo and Jesus Zepeda.
