It’s always an auspicious occasion in New York when the Metropolitan Opera opens a new season. But it’s an auspicious occasion in Prescott, as well.

The MET’s 2017-18 season is simulcast Saturday mornings – right down the street at Yavapai College Performing Arts Center.

This season opens with Bellini’s tragedy "Norma" – the tale of a powerful woman who compromises her ideals for love, only to find herself betrayed by her lover.
