I have a different view about your “National parks should not come at Cadillac prices” editorial Nov 2. The American taxpayer should not have to subsidize other people’s vacations. I have financially-comfortable acquaintances who spend their every vacation and long weekend in a national park. No one subsidizes my vacations in Hawaii or New York City. There’s a fundamental principle your editorial overlooks: User Pays! Other than for security and minimal maintenance, the cost of operating our national parks should be self-liquidating.
