Timothy James Boyd, August 2, 1940 - April 30, 2017.

Tim was born in Hanover, Grafton, New Hampshire to James Thomas Boyd and Gertrude Eleanor Lambert Boyd and was the eldest of their seven children.

The family moved to California in 1955 and Tim graduated from Garden Grove High School in 1958. He joined the Navy in 1962 and was medically discharged in 1963.

He moved to the High Desert area in 1968 where he met his future wife Marinell (Cooki) Cox through mutual friends in April 1969. They married in Las Vegas, Nevada, November 8, 1969. While Doctors told Tim he would never have children, they went on to have three wonderful and fantastic children, son Joshua (Tina) Boyd of Maricopa, Ariz., daughter Kristen (Danny) Duran of Chino Valley, Ariz., and daughter Rebekah Boyd of Phoenix, Ariz.

Tim and Cooki moved to Arizona in 1979 and through the years Tim was a volunteer at the Prescott VA Medical Center as a representative for the Disabled American Veterans helping vets and widows file claims for benefits. He was also a past Commander of DAV Chapter 16. Tim also volunteered with Prescott Frontier Days Rodeo and was a past PFD President as well as a Director for many years. He really enjoyed volunteering and loved fishing and hunting in his younger years. He loved watching Nascar, football, basketball, and rodeo. Tim was preceded in death by his parents James and Trudy Boyd; his brother Lance C. Boyd; and sister Mary Sheryl (Boyd) Adams. Survivors include his wife, Cooki, of Chino Valley; their three children and 13 (soon to be 14) grandchildren Tyler, Samantha, Kelley, Hannah, David, Jaiden, Isabel, Abigail, James, Isaac, Matthew, Ava, & Molly.
