Maurices grand opening

The clothing retailer Maurices is closing up shop at Prescott Gateway Mall today, Feb. 26, at 4 p.m. and will be hosting a grand opening at it’s new Prescott Valley Crossroads shopping center location on Friday, March 3.

The new location is on the west side of the shopping center next to Ross Dress for Less. For its grand opening day, the store will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Canabis oil company opening

A shop called The CBD Connection is set to open in Chino Valley on Wednesday, March 1.

The business will offer “triple tested, legal in 50 states, pure and potent CBD (Cannabidiol) oil,” said co-owner Vonda Chisholm.

The CBD Connection is at 448 N. Highway 89, Suite E (Ranch Plaza), Chino Valley.

Belly dance school has new studio

The New Moon Tribal School of Belly Dance has moved to the Elks Performing Arts Center on Gurley Street in Prescott.

Director Ustadza Azra, a certified American Tribal Style Belly Dance instructor, teaches both vintage and tribal belly dance at the center’s Dance Studio 2.

Classes are offered Tuesdays and Wednesdays with private lessons available on weekends. For more information go to www.ustadzaazra.com.

The Dude Ranch, Rustic Pie Company’s antique shop, has reopened with a new theme: “Vinyl, Automobiles & Motorcycles.”

The store has been carrying vinyl records since its opening nearly two years ago and the collection keeps expanding, owner Nishon Pinker said.

The rest of the store will have only gadgets, knick-knacks and antiques that are automobile/motorcycle related. “Plus motorcycles and bicycles!” Pinker said.

SmartScan adds cardiovascular screening

SmartScan, a preventative health screening company, is adding cardiovascular (heart, carotid, thyroid, aorta) screening to its repertoire.

The company, located at 1129 W. Iron Springs Road in Prescott, will also be offering abdominal screenings on Saturdays. This includes looking at the liver, Pancreas, kidneys, gallbladder and spleen.

Goodwill returns to old sale days

Goodwill of Central Arizona has brought back a number of sale days. Dollar Day Thursdays, Senior Day and Military and Student Day are back. 

“Feedback from our Goodwill community showed that our shoppers overwhelmingly preferred our old sale structure, so we’ve brought back the favorites,” said Courtney Nelson, vice president of marketing and communications.
