An attic fire in a home in the 2900 block of Cedar Springs Lane on Thursday, Dec. 7 caused enough damage that the residents were not able to stay there, said Brad Davis, battalion chief for the Central Arizona Fire and Medical Authority.
First-arriving crews found smoke coming from the attic and made quick access through the ceiling to extinguish. The attic of the home suffered moderate damage.
No one was home at the time the fire started, Davis said, and there were no injuries.
The fire appears to have started in the ceiling of the master bathroom, Davis said, but the cause is still under investigation.
