Prescott Valley Police Department officers responded to a three-car injury accident on Windsong Drive, south of Florentine Road at about 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 29 according to a news release from the Prescott Valley Police Department.
Officers who arrived on the scene conducted an accident investigation and performed roadside maneuvers on driver Sabrina Collazo, who caused the accident. It was determined that Collazo was intoxicated and she was placed into custody and transported to Prescott Valley Police Department. She voluntarily provided blood and breath samples and her BAC registered .290. Collazo was charged with numerous charges including, DUI, extreme DUI, endangerment, criminal damage and open container violation.
According to the release, Collazo had recently left a local bar, was traveling northbound on S. Windsong Drive and failed to stop for the red light at Florentine Road. She collided with a 2017 red Chevrolet truck which in turn collided into a 2010 grey Toyota truck.
One driver was transported to Yavapai Regional Medical Center and all three vehicles were towed after sustaining substantial damage, according to the release.
