President Trump, so far, seems to believe he can run the government as a one-man operation. Hopefully he can learn to work with Congress.
Problem is, Congress doesn’t want to reciprocate. The Republican establishment has not heard and doesn’t want to hear what middle class Americans said by electing Trump president.
Consider what the alternative to Trump was: Hillary Clinton, with all her unresolved baggage, Slick Willie, Schumer and Pelosi. Disaster for the U.S., the Supreme Court, and the Constitution.
Trump is an outsider and a threat to the Republican old guard that for the last 50 years or so has been comfortable dithering along being watered down Democrats. The current crop of RINOs/mini-Democrats – namely, McConnell, McCain, Flake, and Graham to name a few — are content carrying on this tradition.
Rep. Brooks of Alabama correctly said McConnell is the swamp. A lady TV commentator on Aug. 2 had some devastatingly correct thoughts about our RINO junior senator who has no liking for Trump. Neither party wants Trump to roil the Republican cozy second fiddle relationship with the Democrats.
The entire Washington political establishment along with most of the national media are frantically doing all they can to see that Trump fails.
