Early voting for the City of Prescott primary will begin Wednesday, Aug. 2, and will continue through Aug. 29, according to information from Yavapai County Recorder Leslie Hoffman.
A news release from Hoffman’s office asks early voters to visit the Yavapai County Recorder’s Office Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (and until 7 p.m. on primary day, Aug. 29) at 1015 Fair St., Room 228, Prescott.
The release adds that ballots will be mailed out to all eligible voters on Monday, Aug. 7. A total of 28,877 ballots will be sent that day through the U.S. mail, say officials.
Voters should call 928-771-3248 after Friday, Aug. 11, if they have not received their ballot.
The last day to request a replacement ballot to be mailed is Friday, Aug. 18. Those who wish to vote, but do not want to wait for their ballot to arrive in
the mail must vote in person.
Hoffman’s office also reminds voters to sign the ballot’s affidavit envelope in their original handwriting.
