Mortimer Farms egg hunt collected food, money for Yavapai Food Bank

The first annual Easter egg hunt on April 8 at Mortimer Farms in Dewey generated some 350 pounds of food for the Yavapai Food Bank as well as a $1,000 check able to feed some 200 people.

“The event was a huge success with tickets being sold in advance,” said owner Sharla Mortimer.

The next collaboration between the farm and the Yavapai Food Bank will be the farm’s Harvest Party scheduled for Aug. 26.
