‘A Taste for Mission’ gala today benefits St. Luke’s programs

St. Luke’s Episcopal Church will be hosting a vibrant, eclectic fundraising event featuring local artists, breweries, wineries and Arizona’s only meadery.

This gala event, “A Taste for Mission,” will take place from 3 to 5 p.m. today, Sept. 25.

This second annual “tasting and art affair” will include live music and culinary delights prepared by local chefs and foodies. The cost is $30, which includes five tastings of wine, beer and mead. Music, ambiance and hors d’oeuvres are complementary.

Granite Mountain Brewing, Granite Creek Vineyards and Superstition Meadery are some of the local businesses featured at this event.

Original local paintings, photography, sculpture, carvings and many other mediums will be auctioned through a silent auction format.

Proceeds will benefit all programs of St. Luke’s, including Project Aware, Operation Deep Freeze, Don’t Spend Christmas Alone, Granite Creek Park feeding ministries, Quixote’s Garage and music and youth programs.

Tickets are available at the door the day of the event. St. Luke’s is located at 2000 Shepherds Lane, Prescott (near the airport).
