Arrest made in Rimrock murder

A 17-year-old suspect was arrested in a Friday night Rimrock murder case.

At approximately 11:45 p.m. Friday, Yavapai County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the 4000 block of E. Airport Drive, for a 25-year-old man who had been shot. The suspect fled the scene and was described as an Hispanic male armed with a handgun. No vehicle was seen or heard.

The victim died at the scene.

Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Bureau worked several leads which resulted in the arrest.

No other details were released Saturday evening.
