Steven Todd Schamber

Steven Todd Schamber, 48, born August 24, 1967, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, died August 14, 2016 in Prescott, Arizona.

More than the sum of dates, degrees, or who he knew, Steve deeply touched many of our lives. He’s held close in the hearts of his father, Richard Schamber, of Poulsbo, Washington, his mother, the late Mary Ann Dineen of Tucson, Arizona, his sisters, Stephanie Schamber, of San Diego and Lisa Schamber, of Berkley, California, and his daughter, Grace Schamber, of Prescott, Arizona. Steve grew up in Tucson, Arizona, worked for Audio-Visual of America, attended the University of Arizona, and graduated from the College of Business at Northern Arizona University, with a bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems. He worked for American Express and IBM in Phoenix, prior to moving to Prescott in 2002. Steve served as Database Administrator and the Director of MIS staff at Prescott College, and then continued to serve Yavapai County’s MIS Department and the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office for 10 years. Steve also volunteered for the Yavapai County Back Country Search and Rescue Team since 2008. We will especially remember Steve on Saturday, October 22, from 1 to 4 p.m., at Prescott Crush Wine Cafe, 1781 Hwy 69, Prescott, Arizona, with a word of encouragement, a story, and music.

Memorial donations may be made to Yavapai County Search & Rescue, http://www.ycsrt.org/, PO Box 11104, Prescott, AZ 86304.
