PRESCOTT VALLEY – With presidential candidate Donald Trump’s rally at the Prescott Valley Event Center on Tuesday, Oct. 4, the police have announced several street closures.
The rally takes place from 2 until 4 p.m.; the PVEC’s doors open at 11 a.m.
The following streets will be affected:
Lake Valley Road, between Lakeshore Drive and Highway 69: Northbound and southbound travel will be shut down between 11:45 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Florentine Road, between Glassford Hill Road. and Lake Valley Road: Eastbound travel will be shut down between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. Hospital access will be westbound on Florentine from Windsong or off of the Windsong Drive entrance.
Main Street, between Pav Way and Lakeshore Road: Northbound and southbound travel will be shut down between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Glassford Hill Road, northbound and southbound travel between Highway 69 and Lakeshore Drive, will be limited to two lanes northbound with no left or right turns onto Florentine Road.
PV police caution that these closures are subject to change.
The town said that the only public entrance to the Event Center will be off Glassford Hill Road at Sundog Blvd. (across from Kohl’s). There will be handicap parking near the Event Center on the north side of the entrance. Once the lot fills, Town staff will be directing traffic to parking areas in lots surrounding the Event Center.
