PRESCOTT VALLEY– A three-man team of burglars have hit several homes with “for sale by owner” signs out front, according to PVPD Officer Jerry Ferguson.

The suspects go up to the door and say they’re interested in buying.

“While one suspect distracts the homeowner in conversation, another suspect wanders through the home,” Ferguson said. “When the suspects leave, the homeowner discovers that valuables have been stolen from the home.”

Witnesses have given similar descriptions in each incident. One suspect is described as a man in his mid-20s, approximately 6’2” tall, with an olive complexion.

A second suspect is described as a man in his mid-50s, approximately 5’10” tall, also with an olive complexion.

A third suspect is a woman in her mid-20s, approximately 5’ tall, with a thin build and dark hair.

They’re driving a red four-door pickup, possibly a Nissan, Ferguson said.
