Joe Willis Kremer, Jr.

Joe Willis Kremer, Jr., 93, of Prescott, Arizona, departed this life Monday July 11, 2016 at his home in Prescott.

He was born December 9, 1922 in Gilbert, Arizona, to Joe Willis Kremer, Sr., and Mary Elizabeth Sieger, and was raised on his family farm. He married Mary Leona (Lee) Copple on July 5, 1942 and lived to see their 74th Wedding Anniversary.

Joe served in WWII in Italy as a linesman, earning him the Bronze Star award. After the War, Joe and Lee settled in Prescott to raise their family. In recognition of his military service, he participated in the WWII Honor Flight with his son, Leon, to Washington DC in October, 2013.

Joe and Lee were owners of B & L Floor Covering and Prescott Furniture for over 40 years. He was a member of the Sunrise Lions Club. He has been a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter – Day Saints since his baptism on October 31, 1953. He served in the Church having various callings throughout his life

and was very giving

to others in providing service to those in need. Joe and Lee served a Family History Mission once retired working on genealogical records for Temple ordinances.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Henry. He is survived by his eternal companion, Lee; children, Leon (Rhonda), Becky (Curtis), Debbie (Bob), Lana (James) Patty (Doug); 21grandchildren, and 36 great grandchildren; and sister, Agnes.

There will be a visitation 10:00 am -10:45 am, Saturday July 23, 2016 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter -Day Saints 1001 Ruth Street, Prescott, with services at 11:00 am.

Burial with committal service will be 9:00

am, Monday, July 25, 2016 at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Road Phoenix, Arizona.
