Three engines and a helicopter responded at about 10 a.m. Saturday, July 2, after two vehicles were involved in a significant crash near the intersection of Kachina Place and Highway 69 in Dewey-Humboldt.
Both vehicles suffered heavy damage and all five people in those vehicles were injured, Central Arizona Fire & Medical Battalion Chief Todd Abel said.
One woman involved in the crash was flown to John C. Lincoln North Mountain Hospital in Phoenix.
Highway 69 was closed for at least 20 minutes while the helicopter performed the pickup, Abel said.
