Dr. Steve Dow spoke at recent DAR program

The ladies of the General George Crook Chapter of the DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) were delighted to host local veterinarian Dr. Steve Dow, who spoke about the Soldier’s Best Friend program. Dr. Dow is a board member of the Arizona-specific program that pairs and trains a soldier and his or her dog. The program utilizes either the soldier’s dog or pairs the soldier with a dog from a rescue organization. In the picture, Dr. Dow was proud to display an award he received from a scholarship through the DAR when he was with the ROTC program in High School.
