PRESCOTT – Jerry Foster, who rose to national fame in the 1970s and ’80s flying as a TV news helicopter pilot/reporter, will be in Prescott Saturday, April 16, signing copies of his autobiography, “Earthbound Misfit,” and telling stories about the days when he flew one of the few high-powered jet helicopters, Sky-12, for KPNX-TV in Phoenix.

Foster had many experiences, flying in a time when he was called on to make the news as much as covering it, rescuing hapless motorists caught in flooded washes and injured hikers on mountaintops.

He’ll be at the Peregrine Book Company, 219 N. Cortez St. in Prescott, at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 16. Call 928-445-9000 for more information.
