The seventh annual Wander The Wild, the Highlands Center for Natural History's biggest yearly fundraiser, will be held Sunday, Sept. 27, at Talking Rock Ranch from 2:30 to 7 p.m.
"This exciting outdoor and adventure-themed auction is our main fundraising event. All proceeds benefit our youth education programs, inspiring over 12,000 children annually with quality, creative hands-on outdoor education, developed to introduce them to the wonders of nature. In addition to the fun and fundraising, there will be a special announcement we are very excited about regarding the Discovery Gardens, our upcoming 8-acre expansion," stated Dave Irvine, Highlands Center Executive Director.
Wander the Wild is also a great party, featuring live music, a delicious dinner, and includes wines from Painted Lady Vineyards in Skull Valley, and Page Springs Cellars. "Feed your sense of adventure by bidding on exotic travel and experience items," added Irvine. A sample of trips to be auctioned include destinations such as Lake Tahoe; La Jolla, California; Zion National Park; Durango, Colorado; Moab, Utah, and even a South African photo safari. Nature-inspired local art and educational adventures to locations throughout Arizona are also featured, to be auctioned by local favorite Jacy Lee. Visit highlandscenter.org to get details on the auction packages and register.
