It was a very busy afternoon at the Cordes Lakes Library. The white ghost gourds were waiting to be decorated with spider webs, paint, and other things that met the imaginations of the children. Then there were cookies to decorate where the little kids got to be first and there was a lot of frosting on tables and faces. The bigger kids were a little more adept, but the cookies disappeared just as quickly. Maybe it was the ghosts?
The Ghostbuster movie played in the background throughout the activities, keeping everyone busy with something to do, no matter what the age. The "Guess the Corn" bowl went to Jerin Pejak who guessed 750 pieces of corn in the bowl, which contained 702. The basket raffle, which was filled with candy, popcorn, and many other goodies, was won by Yvette Robles.
The highlight of the afternoon was the arrival of the Official Ghostbusters vehicle driven in by Patrick Thompson, an official Arizona Ghostbuster. The children clamored over the vehicle, checking out the equipment in and on it, as well as the items Patrick had strapped on his belt.
So now it is certified that the Cordes Lakes Library is ghost free!
