Obituary: Lorraine L. Cruse

Lorraine L. Cruse went to be with her Lord Jesus at 1:45 a.m., Sunday, Oct. 18, 2015, following a seven-month battle of cancer. Lorraine was born in Studly, Kansas, on Jan. 27, 1924.

Preceding her in death was her first husband of 17 years Everett Fritts; her second husband of 44 years, Dwain Cruse; her parents, Sam and Nellie Niblock; brothers Harold, Lawrence and Sharon; and an infant daughter Barbara Jean.

Her surviving siblings are Mary Higby; brothers Jim, Lee, David and Dallas Niblock. Also surviving her are her children, Larry (Bonnie) Fritts, June (Larry) Novreske, Judy (John) Wombaker; eight grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Lorraine had a very blessed and productive life. She was an avid rock hound, hunter of big game and fishing. She loved doing crafts and sewing. She enjoyed playing cards and visiting with family and friends. She lived in Encampment, Wyoming for many years and moved to Prescott Valley, Arizona in 1999.

Services will be at 11 a.m. on Nov. 13, 2015, at the Fountain of Life Community Church in Prescott Valley. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Encampment Museum and/or for a memorial bench in Cecilia's Rainbow Garden in Quartzsite, Arizona, appreciated.
