What would you do with a weapon that could destroy entire cities and kill generations of people just from the aftermath? These devastating weapons are now a constant threat in today's world. They are debated over and over if they should be utilized or banned. I believe Nuclear Weapons should be used because they prevent wars, make a great negotiating tool, and provide security.
I believe Nuclear Weapons are a great benefit because they provide many positives. One of the main reasons why we need to keep Nuclear Weapons is because they prevent wars. These weapons prevent wars by making countries seek solutions so this type of destruction is avoided. Along with preventing territorial combat, they also save lives of military soldiers. When conflicts are prevented, countless lives are saved. They prevent war because countries use them as negotiation tools. Nuclear Weapons can persuade a country to not engage in war because the battle could become world wide massive destruction. With the threat of 10 countries currently owning nuclear weapons, they become a great negotiation tool. Finally, the last reason why I support Nuclear weapons is; they provide security for a country. Nuclear Weapons provide security because citizens know their country will be able to defend itself. Margaret Thatcher supports my view because she says, "A world without nuclear weapons would be less stable and more dangerous for all of us." That's why I believe Nuclear weapons should kept.
Considering all the benefits and negatives of Nuclear Weapons, I believe they shouldn't be banned. Nuclear Weapons are a must in today's world because they prevent wars, make an excellent negotiation tool and provide security for a country. Nuclear weapons are today's modern security system.
