Opal Berniece Trejo Brimhall passed from her mortal life on July 2, 2015 at 96 years of age in Prescott, Arizona.

Opal was born in Bisbee, Arizona on March 11, 1919, the third child of Jared Jones and Edith Annie McRae Trejo.

She lived in St. David, Arizona until the age of 18 when she attended Arizona State College (ASU) where she was recruited to play on the women's tennis team. When she was 19 years old, she fulfilled a two-year mission to the Central and Northern California Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

She married Lee Foster Brimhall on Sept. 19, 1941 in the Mesa, Arizona LDS Temple. They were married 70 years until Lee's death in January 2011.

After living as a war bride until the end of World War II, Lee and Opal moved their small family to Safford, Arizona, where they ranched and welcomed the rest of their children. In 1957, Lee and Opal moved the family to Welton, Arizona where they owned a dairy farm. In 1964, the family moved to Prescott where Lee was a contractor and the owner of Burro Creek Ranch near Bagdad, Arizona, where they finished raising their family and made Prescott their permanent home.

Lee and Opal had seven children, Denis (Becky), Jerry (Ruth), LaRee Ullery (Rick), Brenda Richardson (Ed), Rodney (Janyne), Steven (Lori), and Debra, who preceded them in death in 1970. They were blessed with 35 grandchildren and over 100 great grandchildren at last count.

Opal was an avid seamstress, calligrapher, artist, musician, reader, and a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was very loved and will be greatly missed.
