Food recalls include spices and Indian sauces

The Yavapai County Community Health Services is notifying the public about spice and Indian sauce recalls because they might contain peanuts, as well as an apple recall because some people have become sick with listeriosis.

Con Yeager Spice Company has issued a voluntary recall for multiple sized packages under multiple brand names of ground cumin and multiple seasoning blends (containing ground cumin) due to undeclared peanut allergens in the ground cumin.

Taj Ethnic Gourmet brand has issued a voluntary recall of certain lots of Indian Sauces due to undeclared peanut allergen. The affected products include Taj Ethnic Gourmet Bombay Curry Simmer Sauce, Calcutta Masala Simmer Sauce and Punjab Saag Spinach Sauce with best-by dates of Oct. 15 and Oct. 16, 2016.
