Diane Armstrong Whitaker, born May 2, 1931, in Amarillo, Texas, passed away Dec. 10, 2015, in Prescott, Arizona.

After a stroke in December of 2013, Diane was unable to continue her love for learning and teaching the various modalities of wellness. Diane was co-founder and Director of the Hera House Holistic Healthcare facility in Deer Isle, Maine from 1980 to 1993. Diane was a teacher and student with the Prescott area community of alternative health practices since 1997. In addition to her love for the healing arts, she loved to swim with the dolphins, kayak, hike and travel in her R.V. Diane loved music and played first chair clarinet in a women's orchestra in Long Beach during the 1940s.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Whitaker; her brother Michael Armstrong; two sons, Steven and Timothy (Debra) Whitaker. She is survived by her daughter, Julie Longo (Salvatore); three granddaughters, Gina Longo, Kim Deschamps (Jeremy) and Kari Whitaker; two grandsons, Michael (Alaina) and Robert Longo; two great grandchildren, Logan and Jaelyn Deschamps.
