Virginia A. Restifo

Virginia A. Restifo (Ginny) was born in New York City on Feb. 10, 1944, after a courageous battle against cancer she succumbed on April 21, 2015 in Prescott, Arizona.

Ginny attended catholic schools; Our Lady of Victory in Mt. Vernon New York and Resurrection Academy in Rye, New York. She graduated with an associate's degree in accounting from Westchester Community College. Ginny worked full time for GMAC in White Plains, New York as an account associate as well as several part jobs at the same time.

Ginny then pursued an education in real-estate and began working part time for the John Crowley Real Estate company in Rockland County New York. Her career in real estate continued for the next 30 years, working with several national real-estate firms and finally holding real-estate brokers' licenses in both New York and California, as part owner of Blackhawk Real-Estate Company.

Surviving is her husband of 43 years Thomas Restifo of Prescott; two brothers, Arthur Schrameck of Bethel, Connecticut and Thomas Schrameck of Paulden, Arizona; cousins, Dorothy Farrell of Albany New York, Theresa Van Buren of Brightwaters, Long Island, and Robert Van Buren of Northborough, Massachusetts. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gertrude and Arthur Schrameck.

A celebration of life will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 2, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 150 Fleury, Prescott, Arizona. Followed by a luncheon at the church.

Interment will be at 10 a.m. Monday, May 4, 2015 at All Souls Catholic Cemetery in Cottonwood Arizona.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to United Animal Friends Paw it Forward Fund, a program dedicated to helping pet owners with limited income provides medical care for their pets. Make checks payable to United Animal Friends and in the memo area notate PAH/PIF Restifo. United Animal Friends will match your donation dollar for dollar.
