Prescott Area Habitat for Humanity will celebrate its 25th year and its 75th home at its annual Toolbelts & Tuxedos gala fundraiser Saturday, Nov. 1.
The Silver Anniversary, which will be at the Prescott Resort and Conference Center, begins at 6 p.m., with cocktail hour. Doors open at 7 p.m. to the ballroom, where dinner will be served. The evening concludes at 10 p.m.
During cocktail hour, guests will have the chance tobrowse through more than 250 silent auction items. Dinner will feature a live auction, which will include a myriad of items, such as trips to Antigua, Italy, South Africa, Colorado, Rose Bowl Parade Tour, construction and landscaping services, tickets to National Finals Rodeo with a three-day, two-night stay, wine tasting, custom windows, a Prescott Valley Event Center private suite, golf membership and more.
Silent auction bidders also have a host of merchandise, services, hotel packages and much more to choose from, all donated by local businesses and individuals.
Another highlight of the the event will be selecting the winning name ffor the gala's raffle. The grand prize is $2,500 in cash. Other prizes include a pair of GoVision Polarized HD Video-Capture sunglasses with a still camera, an Android TracFone with triple minutes for life, a Chef Ming Tsai NuWave 1300-Watt Ultimate Induction Burner and more.
Raffle tickets are available at the PAHH office, 1230 Willow Creek Road, and at the PAJJ the ReStore, 1061 Commerce Drive, both in Prescott. Tickets for the drawing are one for $5, five for $20 and 13 for $50.
The funds raised continue to be designated to "Building a Dream" of a simple, decent home for deserving families. There is no free home. All must qualify and partner with PAHH in sweat equity hours. In turn, they receive a 30-year, no-interest mortgage with low payments.
