Letter: Scholars get dollars thanks to community

EDITOR:

The Yavapai County Mounted Sheriff's Posse recently had its 37th annual Scholars Need Dollars benefit, and would like to say thanks to all who supported our efforts through donations, and especially to those who purchased tickets for this event. Over the years, the posse has raised more than $472,000 in educational grants for deserving students in Yavapai County.

The posse would also like to thank Cathy, Joan and Steve from the Prescott Adult Center for working with us to host this event - what a wonderful organization and facility. Also, special thanks go to Meals on Wheels and their staff and Brad and his crew from Texas Roadhouse.

We also appreciate the many donations we received from the following: Geoffrey's Jewelry, Perkinsville Meat Processing, Owls Auto Body, Jeanne Butitta, Antelope Hills Golf Course, Bill Neely, Waffles-n-More, Plaza Bonita, Auto Trim and Design, Ace Hardware (Chino Valley), La Bruzza's, Unisource, Talking Rock Ranch, K's Lighting, Dick and Ginger Rhodes, Lowe's, Pudge and Asti's, Blue Hills Café, Hassayampa Inn, The Windsock Lounge, Dunn's Tire and Wheel, Pro Build, The Dinner Bell, It's a Dog's Life and Albertsons.

Thanks again for helping us make this annual event a great success.
