Obituary: Douglas Joel Mackey

Douglas Joel Mackey, 65, of Prescott Valley, Ariz., born May 30, 1948 in Hanford, Calif., to Donald E. Mackey and Martha Lorraine Mackey, passed away Feb. 12, 2014 at Hospice Family Care in Prescott, Ariz.

He attended Kingsburg High School. He was a cement finisher in the construction industry.

Douglas' hobbies included riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle, hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his children, Becky Rutledge and Kimberly Soward; parents Donald E. Mackey and Martha Lorraine Mackey; grandchildren, Steven Helsley and Dalton Rutledge, and Nathan Waggoner; and sister Rosetta A. Hansen.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2014 at Sunrise Funeral Home, 8167 E. Highway 69, Prescott Valley, Ariz.
