PRESCOTT - A second man has died from injuries he sustained in a head-on collision that sheriff's investigators believe was caused by a drunk driver, a YCSO spokesman said.
The crash happened at about 8:20 p.m. on Oct. 30, just east of Skyline.
Witnesses told deputies that a Chevy Suburban, headed west on Iron Springs, crossed the centerline and struck an eastbound Ford F-150 pickup head-on, sheriff's spokesman Dwight D'Evelyn said, but investigators have not confirmed that account yet.
David Crawford, 61, from Paulden, was driving the Suburban and was killed, D'Evelyn said. There were open containers in the SUV, and Crawford is suspected to have been intoxicated, D' Evelyn said.
Crawford's passenger, Anthony Westcott, 66, of Cottonwood, died Sunday at Banner Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix, D' Evelyn said.
The driver of the pickup, Albert Bamsch, 61, of Prescott was transported in stable condition.
