Obituary: Gerald "Jerry" Wayne Strehle

Gerald "Jerry" Wayne Strehle, 65, of Prescott, Ariz., died Thursday, May 30, 2013 in Prescott, Ariz.

Jerry was born in Chicago, Ill. He moved to Phoenix with his family as a young boy. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War. He graduated from ASU in 1977. Jerry started his career at the Maricopa County Humane Society, then went on to Lockheed and ended as a Yavapai County real estate appraiser. His hobbies were golfing and do-it-yourself home and gardening.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Strehle and brother his brother Larry.

Jerry is survived by Dori, his wife of 33 years; daughter Keri; sons Chad, Kyle and Sean; daughter-in-law Lori Brown Strehle; granddaughters Desiree and Wynter; sister-in-law RoseAnn; nieces Sheri Saenz, Christine (Scott) Myers and their children; aunts Genora Dycus and Evelyn Arlequeew; and numerous cousins.

A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Friday June 7, 2013 at the Prescott VA Chapel, 500 N. Highway 89, with a committal service to follow at the Prescott National Cemetery with military honors.
