The West Yavapai Guidance Clinic Foundation and CakeWorks Library Café, located in the Prescott Valley Library, will be honoring the mentorship of the senior population with a brunch from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.

Proceeds from the brunch will benefit the West Yavapai Guidance Clinic's Senior Peer program. The cost is $8.50 for adults and $6.50 for seniors and children.

Challenges facing our local elder population are growing and the Senior Peer Program is designed to help meet those challenges effectively. The program uses peer-to-peer support from seniors for seniors who are experiencing difficulties with isolation, chronic health conditions, stress, loss of a spouse and more. Best of all the Senior Peer Program services are free and include a variety of techniques to meet the each individual's needs.

This is a great opportunity to learn how WYGC's Senior Peer Program can make a difference for you or someone you love, sign-up to volunteer as a senior peer, and/or help raise money for a worthy cause by having brunch.

Walk-ins are welcome, but reservations are preferred. RSVP by calling Tina Blake at 308-9651 or emailing t.blake@wygc.org.
