Obituary: Betty Criner

Born May 11, 1930, in Geary, Okla., to Ed and Othella Donaldson, Betty passed Jan. 1, 2013, peacefully at home with her family around her.

Betty is survived by her husband, Gene Criner; three children, Debbie (Bruce) Davis, Elmo Criner and Stan Criner; 15 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandson on the way. She is also survived by four sisters, Neva McKnight, Melba Neely, Mary Tucker and Eddie Watson. She was preceded in death by her parents, two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Betty worked for Valley National Bank for 35 years, most of that time spent as manager, in Bagdad. She was responsible for the first park and library in Bagdad. She was a respected and loved leader in the community. She will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, at the LDS Church on Ruth Street in Prescott, with viewing at 11 a.m. and the funeral at noon. Luncheon for everyone will be at 1 p.m. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. at Peeples Valley Cemetery.
