Letter: Miss Kitty's says thanks for the support

EDITOR:

Miss Kitty's Cat House would like to thank the community and our volunteers for their efforts to support the work of our not-for-profit, no-kill cat shelter and adoption organization.

Thanks to the hundreds of people who stopped by our booth at the Prescott Faire on the Square at the courthouse Labor Day weekend and to our volunteers who staffed the booth. We also want to thank all those who shopped and volunteered their time to staff our annual rummage sale, which took place at Prescott College the last weekend in June.

Opportunities like these give us a chance to spread the word about the no-kill cat rescue and adoption services we provide, to sell some Miss Kitty's Cat House logo items, accept donations and recruit new volunteers. The generosity of the community is very much appreciated.

As a nonprofit organization run and staffed by volunteers, we rely on donations to support the costs of food and medical expenses and housing for the cats we shelter, while they are waiting for adoption to permanent homes. We also need volunteers to foster cats and kittens in temporary homes when we do not have space at Miss Kitty's Cat House.

It is always nice to listen to stories from people who have adopted cats and kittens from Miss Kitty's Cat House and how they have become cherished members of the family.

The support of the community and our volunteers has enabled us to find permanent loving homes for more than 3,500 cats and kittens in recent years.

Eben G. Fetters, Secretary
